English Long-Faced

ENGLISH
LONG-FACED

"The Aristocratic Upright Stance of English Nobility in the Sky"

Curator's Selection Note

The dome of the skull rising precisely over the eye, without disturbing that vertical line in the posture, defines the aristocratic vision of the English Long-Faced. In our collection, the sharpness of the beak parallel to the ground must combine with a blunt expression. Every feather symmetry must carry the grace of a kaftan.

Nadire Selection Criteria

Skull Dome: The noble head structure where the highest point aligns precisely over the eye.

Muff (Foot Feathers): Density of foot feathering and flawless symmetry.

Breed History & Origin

English Long-Faced Tumbler

That distance called Long-Faced is not merely a numerical measurement; it is a delicate whole that holds the balance of the face, the skull dome and the beak angle together. The English have shaped this over centuries.

The English Long-Faced divides into two main variants: Muffed and Clean-Legged. The muffed variant's foot feathers can be so abundant they trail the ground. Individuals of both variants are tracked separately in our collection.

An important care note: due to its short beak, this breed often cannot feed its own chicks. Therefore the support of experienced foster pigeons is essential at Nadire Loft. It is a breed registered under the EE (Entente Européenne) European standard.
