Italian Bango

ITALIAN
BANGO

"Short beak form, chest rose symmetry and calm character."

Curator's Selection Note

In the Bango, elegance is not only in the short beak — it is in the tranquillity of that gaze. The powdered, smooth quality of the eye-frame speaks of purity. Most importantly, that unshakeable confidence you feel when one lands in your hand; a true Bango character never compromises.

Breed History & Origin

Italian Owl Pigeon (Ghigliottino)

Bango came to us from Italian. Official name Italian Owl, here called Bango or in İzmir, Akbaş. Those who see that flat face and owl gaze never forget it.

This bird's short beak, flat face, forward-thrusting chest surprises at first sight. Chest flower (frilled), upright and charismatic posture, owl-like high-pitched voice — these are the Bango's short but effective profile.

This breed, which sets the standard at various fairs and shows in Italy, stands out in our collection for its character and calm temperament.
